The short version
BrewGearCalc is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
If you follow a product link from this site and buy something, we receive a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be otherwise.
Which links are affiliate links
Every link to Amazon on this site is an affiliate link, including product names, product images and buttons. Internal links to other pages on this site are not. We do not accept payment from manufacturers for placement or for a favourable review, and no brand has editorial input into anything here.
What that means for recommendations
It means you should read what we say about what NOT to buy at least as carefully as what we recommend. Every build page on this site has a section telling you which items to skip, and every roundup names who should not buy the most expensive option. Those sections cost us money, and they are there because a recommendation you cannot trust is worth nothing to either of us.
Prices
We show budget ranges (such as "Under $100") rather than prices, because Amazon prices change often. Build totals are rounded up to a band. They are planning figures, not quotes. The current price is on the Amazon listing each link opens.
Researched from published brewing formulas, manufacturer specifications and verified owner reviews. This is general guidance, not professional advice.
